After a few minor mechanincal problems i have had to return to england to have some repairs done on my bike. This should only take a couple of days and i will be setting out asap after that.

I am currently in Bollagio on the shores of lake Como. it is absolutely beautiful here, see google images if you dont believe me, there is no working usb slot or id post a picture.
Today has been my first day of riding that it has not rained, which was wonderful, i think it can be safely said that the Italian metod of driving escapes all bonds of logic and they seam to give up half way through putting up sign posts to places. Absolutely beautiful countryside though.

Route plans

scince leaving England my plans have changed somewhat and are now mobile. we shall see how it goes, but for now lets just go with it and see what happens. There may be a few unexpected direction changes in the near future.

As i drove through northern france I got a trifle lost. it didnt matter however as it was fantastic countryside and great weather. These are a few of the photos I took as i made my way to the Alpes.

3rd night

after 3 days travelling i have stopped in Brides Les Bains to have a little r&r. it has been great riding, across northern and eastern france. after 2 days in the clouds it is time to stop for a while and take a break and thaw out.

Changes in route and schedule

Due to various climatic and financial changes, certain aspects have had to change on my itinerary. I am no longer touring the UK, but on the 14th April will be catching a ferry over to France. I then intend to travel down through France and Spain into Morocco. Here I will turn east and pass through Algeria to Tunisia. From Tunisia I will catch a ferry to Sicily and from there go north through Italy to Austria. At this point I will rejoin my original route down to turkey and then onwards to Saudi Arabia.
